R1125 House

In Riva, near Istanbul’s Black Sea coast, the interior design developed for this detached house has been approached through a calm and measured spatial language that responds to the natural atmosphere of its surroundings. The region’s dense green landscape and coastal climate have been influential in shaping both the use of light and the selection of materials.

The spatial layout has been organized to carry daylight from the garden deep into the interior while establishing a fluid relationship between the main living areas.

Shared spaces such as the kitchen and living room are connected through an open and permeable arrangement, while more private spaces are located on the upper floor and defined within their own boundaries without disrupting the overall spatial continuity.

The material and color palette is shaped around natural tones and restrained detailing, aiming to create a balanced interior atmosphere throughout the house.
